Diablo Wind 07:16
-Diablo Wind- The fire winds are coming strong The future is dark, future is dark The fire winds are coming strong The future is dark, future is dark When there’s more of me, the less you see no matter the lens A darkness breeds in hearts of men The future is dark, future is dark When the devil breathes his next breath filled with hate, what then? The fire winds are coming strong The future is dark, future is dark They don’t believe Why can’t they see? Time and time again The fire winds are coming strong The future is dark, future is dark They look away Don’t look away You must believe The fire winds are coming strong In this fire plume It’s facing all of us Facing, facing us...

-The Lucky Ones- If you want the moon don’t hide from the night If you want the rose don’t hide from it’s thorns If you want to love don’t hide from yourself Worship the ground you walk on He told us once magic danced in the light But we choose to close our eyes and pray But if we believe in anything at all Worship the ground we walk on Open your eyes Magic never dies Open, open your eyes Magic never dies If you want the moon don’t hide from the night If you want the rose don’t hide from it’s thorns If you want to love don’t hide from yourself Worship the ground you walk on There is no heaven and hell The world is waking up There is no heaven and hell Yet I’m one of the lucky ones Open your eyes, open your eyes There is no heaven and hell The world is waking up There is no heaven and hell Yet I’m one of the lucky ones Open your eyes, open your eyes WE ARE ALL MOTHERS OF THIS PLACE WE CALL HOME WE ARE ALL WEAVERS OF THIS FABRIC WE SHROUD OURSELVES IN WE ARE ALL VULTURES FEEDING ON WHAT’S LEFT FOR DEAD There is no heaven and hell The world is waking up There is no heaven and hell Yet I’m one of the lucky ones Open your eyes, open your eyes He told us once magic danced in the light But we choose to close our eyes and pray If we believe in anything at all Worship the ground we walk on

This Bed 11:54
-This Bed- In this bed you have made Stripped of melting sheets and disgrace Don’t look back and don’t you dare look away Just crawl right back in to this bed we’ve made Yesterday is gone Is it too late to say sorry? Will tomorrow come? Let’s fade away In this bed you have made Stripped of melting sheets and disgrace Don’t look back and don’t you dare look away Just crawl right back in to this bed we’ve made Is this all there is? Right here in this moment? Disgust and persuasion Let’s fade away Heaviness hangs in the air and in the silence We never lose all our demons, we survive them Breathing smoldering remains is devotion Devastation without a trace of emotion Aaah, let us fade away In this bed we’ve made In this bed we’ve made In this bed we’ve made In this bed we have made

I’ll light the sky for you Empower you so that you can find your truth And shine on Strong back, soft front, wild heart Protect our wild heart Love hard, wild heart Don’t Don’t let them Don’t let them break you Don’t let them break you down Down, down, down... I’ll light the sky for you Empower you so that you can find your truth And shine on

Rock Steady 07:01
-Rock Steady- Somewhere under the rainbow That’s where you’ll find me We won’t be together forever But I’ll always be right here for you My one and only Under the rainbow Somewhere under the rainbow That’s where you’ll find me We won’t be together forever But I’ll love you until my days are done Rock steady...

What the press is saying about it:

"There is a fine line between epic and disjointed; if a band has big ideas but fails to execute them well, their music generally winds up in the latter category. In the former category is MOTHERS WEAVERS VULTURES, the new album from Bay Area progressive metal group Grayceon.

Anchored by cellist and vocalist Jackie Perez Gratz—whose resume includes recordings with Agalloch, Neurosis and Tribes of Neurot, plus membership in Giant Squid—MOTHERS WEAVERS VULTURES balances dense, heavy compositions with Peretz Gratz’s melodies and melancholic vocals."
- Decibel Magazine

"Because they belong to San Francisco’s diverse and recombinant music scene, Grayceon is hardly alone in making genre-agnostic but undeniably progressive heavy metal. They are, however, almost singularly adept at summoning big, unguarded emotions with an unassuming nonchalance. On their fifth album, Mothers Weavers Vultures, the trio addresses love, loss, and anger in plain-spoken language (both lyrical and musical) that elevates each song to the realm of elemental truth."
- Your Last Rites

"Grayceon‘s fifth full-length record, MOTHERS WEAVERS VULTURES, shortly leapt to the top of my must-listen list once I’d really gotten to grips with the intricate and emotional stories told by the band. The progressive rock and metal on offer from this power trio is epic and gratifying from start to finish, thanks to excellent vocal hooks and wonderful musicianship that conveys both the love and sadness written into these five tracks."

about

Grayceon San Francisco, California

Atypical power trio from San Francisco comprised of guitar, drums, and cello. Screaming melodic lines over distinct guitar "chunk," doom riffs, jazz chord progressions, intricate folk-like delicacies, and just about everything in between, Grayceon's sound defies the boundaries of the metal/rock/progressive genres.
